Chriscross
Mx is a 1 mile, natural terrain, motocross track located in Eastaboga,
AL between Interstate 20 exits 173 and 179. The track began as a practice
track for Chris Akins who started riding at the age of 12. As he progressed
in speed and ability the track grew to keep him challenged. It evolved
to the point in January 2004 where we felt it was ready to go public,
allowing others to have a place in the local area to ride motocross.
The track is continually being upgraded as time and funds allow. Funds
collected go right back into the track and the equipment used to maintain
it.
There is a 85' quad, 51' single to tabletop, 60’ tabletop, 60' double
(nicknamed "The Intimidator"), 50’ ski jump, 45’ step-down, 35’ single
to a tabletop, 2 doubles rhythm section, 180' whoops section, and several
smaller doubles. There are banked, flat, and off camber turns. The track
ranges from black topsoil to red clay with 5 tractor trailor loads of
sawdust added in key areas. A 24-man starting gate is available to practice
hole shots. There are 1 1/2 miles of woods trails. There are four 30
amp and one 50-amp RV connections on site and a “real” bathroom. This
is a family owned and operated facility and it is a place where your
entire family can come and spend the day. Trees shade the viewing and
picnic areas. Alcohol and profanity are not allowed here. Overnight
camping, fishing in the pond, and fun are!
A helmet, long pants, shoes, and goggles are required. Long sleeves,
gloves and boots are highly recommended. Sandals and other open type
footwear are not to be worn while riding. All persons entering the premises
must read and sign the waiver of liability whether riding or not. Minors
must have a parent or legal guardian sign for them. No
medical insurance is provided or available.
